Alex is a highly respected AI researcher and technology leader with a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Terra Softech, where he oversees the company’s AI strategy, drives technical innovation, and leads the development of advanced intelligent systems for real-world applications.
Prior to joining Terra Softech, Alex held senior research positions at DeepMind (as Senior Principal AI Researcher), Databricks, and Huawei Noah’s Ark Lab, and was a visiting scholar at MIT CSAIL. Throughout his career, Alex has consistently bridged academic rigor with industry innovation, playing a critical role in shaping AI strategy and delivering breakthrough research outcomes.
Alex is also an influential voice in the global AI community. His recent work explores the frontiers of multimodal learning, model compression, and AI-driven automation, topics on which he frequently shares insights and contributes to high-impact publications.
Managing Director, Terra Softech
Cathy is a distinguished software engineer and technology leader with deep expertise in database systems and developer tooling. She currently serves as Managing Director at Terra Softech, where she oversees engineering strategy, product execution, and cross-functional team leadership across the company’s technical initiatives.
Before joining Terra Softech, Cathy was a Principal Software Engineer at Google (Munich), where she played a key role in advancing scalable, high-performance developer platforms—most notably contributing to the ongoing evolution of the Clangd language server ecosystem.
Earlier in her career, Cathy built her engineering foundation at Microsoft, where she was instrumental in developing robust internal reporting applications based on SQL Server. As both a software developer and database administrator, she led efforts to ensure data integrity, system performance, and scalability within enterprise environments.
Throughout her career, Cathy has also demonstrated a strong commitment to thought leadership and community engagement. She was a featured speaker at CppCon 2018, presenting on the architecture of scalable C++ language servers—a talk that reflected her depth of knowledge in systems engineering and real-world toolchains.
Cathy holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) from a top-tier institution. Her combination of academic rigor and real-world engineering excellence continues to elevate team performance and software quality at scale.
Director, Terra Softech
Derek is an accomplished data engineering leader with deep expertise in building resilient backend systems, scalable data pipelines, and automated workflows. He currently serves as Director at Terra Softech, where he leads strategic data initiatives and oversees the design of cloud-native data platforms that power enterprise-scale analytics and intelligent decision-making.
Prior to joining Terra Softech, Derek was a Senior Data Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where he developed high-performance infrastructure to support data-driven services across global clients. Before AWS, he worked at Capital One, playing a key role in designing and optimizing large-scale data systems for financial intelligence, ensuring performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Derek holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, with a focus on distributed systems, big data frameworks, and advanced data modeling.
A thought leader in the data engineering community, Derek authored the widely read article “Exploring Data Build Tool: A Personal Insight,” offering deep perspectives on modular ELT workflows, transformation strategies, and orchestration with tools like Apache Airflow.

Sean S is a seasoned expert in Fintech trading, with a proven track record in quantitative modeling, market risk analytics, and algorithmic strategy development. He currently serves as Senior Fintech Specialist at Terra Softech, where he leads the design of advanced trading models and risk management frameworks that enhance portfolio performance and execution efficiency across diverse markets.
Prior to Terra Softech, Sean held the same role at Jane Street, where he led the implementation of sophisticated trading strategies and developed risk frameworks for global financial markets. Before that, he was at Two Sigma, where he contributed to the development of high-frequency trading algorithms and robust real-time risk systems—playing a key role in statistical arbitrage and execution optimization.
Sean holds dual degrees in Financial Engineering and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and Tsinghua University, equipping him with both Fintech depth and applied technical skill.
